Sunscreen Spray (2oz)
A gentle sunscreen spray made with coconut oil, lavender and myrrh. This Sunscreen can also be used to relieve and treat sunburns and skin irritations.
Coconut oil has a natural SPF estimated at around 7, is rich in fatty acids, supports the skin barrier and contains vitamin E and polyphenols that help reduce oxidative stress from sun exposure. According to Dr. Bruce Fife of the coconut research centre, coconut oil has been used as a natural sunscreen for thousands of years.
Lavender is a soothing anti-inflammatory that calms sun-exposed irritated skin. It contains compounds like linalool and linalyl acetate that help neutralize free radicals created by UV exposure.
Myrrh is an anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial which contains sesquiterpenes and terpenoids that help fight free radicals which can be triggered by sun exposure. It is also known to support the skins defense against photoaging (wrinkles, dark spots).
When all ingredients are combined, this oil forms a protective layer, healing the skin and blocking the damaging effects of UV radiation from the sun. It also strengthens the skin and makes it more resilient and less prone to sunburn, while restoring your skins pH levels, leaving your skin smooth, soft and glowing.
Note: If you have very sensitive skin, be sure to look for a higher SPF organic and safe sunscreen.
