Cold & Flu Support Tincture (2oz)

Echinacea root, elderberry, lemon balm, mullein

Echinacea is a powerful herb that helps boost the immune system and fights infections. It is commonly used to shorten the duration of the common cold and flu, and reduce symptoms, such as sore throat (pharyngitis), cough, and fever.

Elderberry is a rich antioxidant that can treat and prevent the common cold, cough, influenza, sinusitis, mouth ulcers and tonsillitis. It strengthens cell membranes to help keep viruses from entering. Elderberry has been said to remove toxins in the body, promote urine flow, bowel movements and reduce inflammation.

Lemon balm, a member of the mint family, is considered a calming herb. It was used as far back as the Middle Ages to reduce fever, stress and anxiety, promote sleep, improve appetite, and ease pain and discomfort from indigestion. Lemon balm contains substances called tannins, which may be responsible for many of the herb's antiviral, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic effects.

Mullein is traditionally used to support the lungs, clear mucus, support bronchitis, COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), Asthma and relieve breathing. It is also known for its anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting properties and is a beneficial remedy for sore throat, tonsillitis, dry coughs, and hoarseness. Mullein specifically removes, loosens and expels mucus from the lungs and is of great value for lymphatic stagnancy.
